Wiggens Makes Friends At The San Diego Zoo is a both a educational and really cute story. The story is about an adorable chocolate lab named Wiggens, who takes children behind the scenes in the zoo rarely seen by visitors, and engages them in performing tasks such as feeding the animals, and inspiring respect for our animal friends.

Our Thoughts:

My daughter and I loved this storybook. We really enjoyed Wiggens and our little back scene tour of the zoo.  What I really liked was the facts about the animals. It is a bonus learning a little extra while your reading the story. You almost have to read these facts in order to feed the animals. Well not almost you do. My daughter really enjoyed feeding the animals. I think what she liked most was trying to roar so loud to wake up the lion. I can’t tell you how many times it took, but we giggled each time taking turns. The graphics are adorable and we found it pretty easy to navigate around. I also like how at the end of the story (at least that is when we noticed this), there is a pull down feature and you can go back to your favorite animal in the story and reread that part of the story as well as do the actions.
