What I Know Book Review and Giveaway
I was asked if I would like to review the book titled What I Know uncommom wisdom and universal truths from 10 – year olds and 100 – year olds. I was really glad I did. This book was written by Roger emerson Fishman with Joe Rohrlich and published by Clarkson Potter/Publishers.
One thing that really inspired me to read this book was the author Roger Emerson Fishman was inspired by his Grandfather to write this. What’s better then an elders wisdom. It also made me think much about my own Grandfather who I miss so much.
From the back of the book:
Full of inspiring insights and profound life lessons on everything from friendship to parenting from 10 – year olds and 100 – year olds, What I Know will remind you that great advice doesn’t always need to come from a guru or a sage. Wisdom can often spring forth from the most seemingly ordinary, everyday people in the most extraordinary ways.
I would like to share with you the Book Trailer. If you aren’t hooked after the description you will be after you see the trailer.
My thoughts and Opinions:
I absolutely loved this book. I found it very uplifting. There were a couple times I was teary eyed but the majority of this book I read with small laughter and big smiles.
One of my favorite parts of this book was about Major League Baseball Player Bill Werber. It really stopped and made think today as back in the days your word actually meant something in todays world sadly it does not. The New York Yankees paid for him to go to college if he agreed to sign with them to play baseball. Just before he signed another team approached him offering more money. Well when he made the agreement to the New York Yankees he gave his word. He turned down the offer from the other team and signed with the Yankees as he had agreed. You don’t see that kind of word now. I loved Bill Werbers advice. I can’t tell you, you have to read the book for your self.
Here is a favorite quote from the book:
It’s not all about whether someone will ‘be there’ for you. It’s all about whether you will ‘be there’ for someone else.
Thomas n. (10 year old)
I would really highly recommend this book to everyone. It really filled my spirits and had me thinking about a lot of things. If there is another book that follows this one day I can tell you I will get it because I loved this one and I plan to read it over and over again! I also plan to get my Dad to read this too!
Thanks Joe for sending me a copy to review! I am really glad you did! Thumbs UP on this book!

I learned that some of the best advice came from kids which means you are never too young or old to offer advice to people. I especially loved the comment from a child that said – “If you are thinking about having a baby, you better start preparing now by collecting lots and lots of sleep.” I wish i would have done that six months ago
