Welcome 2010
I was doing a lot of thinking last night and reflecting over the last year. I have come up with some New Years Resolutions that I think I can keep.
Every year I always say I want to exercise and then at times I never stick to it. I remember when I lived in Milwaukee I went religious for two years 6 days a week to water aerobics. I even taught a couple classes. Which helped now. Well then I had Dakota and that was it. With Brittany I got lucky and lost weight while I was pregnant. Well the last few weeks I have been in a funk. I have really isolated myself from a lot of things that are really important. I get bored I eat. Well needless to say I gained back what I lost.
During the year I want to make small changes. I think for me making small changes I can do the things I want to do. I want to start out with trying to exercise. My goes at first will be at least three times a week. Once I reach that goal I will set another goal for exercising. They say if you do it for a month you will be in a routine. Well here’s trying to change a routine.
I have to give up my energy. Your probably wondering what that is. LOL That is Code Red Mountain Dew. I think I will start by cutting down and drinking more water. Eventually I will be able to give it up. I did it before. I can do it again.
Another thing that is the most important is that I make a lot more time for my family. Lately I have been sucked into a world of Facebook games so I don’t have to deal with the issues at hand. Well that is going to change. I actually started coming around the last couple days. I get off the computer and I have been spending time with the kids.
Each week I at least want to have ONE game night. I want to be able to laugh with the kids and have fun. Well if we have nore then one game night that is even better. We have a ton of board games and a lot of Wii games and I know we can have a lot more fun.
When the kids are in school I would like to focus more on Brittany and do the lessons in the book I bought as it will be great learning for and great fun too. I want to start taking her to the library on Tuesdays for Baby story hour. Another thing I will do is join the Moms Club in town. The ladies are really nice from there and I think it would be great for Brittany to interact with others.
I also want to take some extra time for me each night whether it’s 15 minutes or 30 minutes and start reading again. I have missed reading. I have a book to review that I am half way through and one I just finished.
In August I am starting school and I am going to be getting by degree in Medical Coding. I plan to study hard and get the best grades I possibly can. I won’t graduated until next year. That is ok. I could do everything in one semester but I really am not going to do that as that will be to much for me. I am really exicted about that.
I don’t think any of my thoughts are unrealistic. It’s all about small changes and the things that mean the most to me. The things that mean the most to me are my kids so I really need to get out of the funk and spend time with them. I forgot what it was like to laugh and have fun with them.
So I say I am ready for this New Year and to bring it on! It WILL be better then 2009.

Hi Maria! Happy New Year to you too! Thanks for mentioning me. I will stop by in a little bit here.
stacie, Thanks and happy New Year to you too! You can do it! You did it once before. I am in the same boat. Right after I had my first born I was getting close to where I was before but I got upset about a couple of things and stopped. This year I will also try and improve my health.
Good luck!

We can do it together Vickie! I started yesterday and I felt good exercising it made my mood so much better. I didn’t drink all that much soda yesterday. I did drink a bottle of water. But for me that is a start. Good Luck to you too!
You know Stacie, I think you can do it! I can ONLY imagine how hard it is to actually get in a workout 3 times a week….I struggle with that all the time and I only have 2 kids.
I am not into facebook games, but I do LOVE FB! I get on there several times a day…it is rather addicting! And I am too an “energy” fan….my one and only crutch is a daily red bull. I don’t like pop or chocolate, so I justify it. I have my 1 red bull, 1 8 oz glass of OJ and then water all day long….so I think everything is good in moderation. I mean we can’t starve ourselves
Also, I have noticed several family members who are on a strick diet, have a “cheat” day. I am out on that, because 1 day can ruin your entire week. So keep your head up and Congrats at starting school! I am a medical coder and I LOVE it!

I did it already this week. I got three days in. Today isn’t over yet but it’s been a rather busy morning of appointments. I love FB. Normally mine is on all day long. Doesn’t mean I am here at the computer but it’s on. After my code red is gone I switched to diet soda. See small changes and I am doing great so far. LOL
