Well we had the meeting last week and I really thought it was going to be a heated discussion. Right now since Dakota was only in school 3 weeks as I home schooled him. So far he is adjusting pretty well. We did bring up the use of a computer as next year when he is forced to write more it may begin to become a battle. I didn’t like the results of the testing though. As some of the stuff he has learned has disappeared or it’s in there but he can’t recall it. With Dakota having structure things have been getting better for the most part. Some behaviors are coming out at school. But I don’t think the grunt of them will come out till next year. But maybe they won’t come out. Only time has those answers. I did try to ask for Extended School Year due to regression. But since he wasn’t at school I can’t prove it. So they will monitor him closely at the start of the school year and see what happens. I knew it would be a fight to get that. But he will be in a reading program all through the summer. So maybe that will help. So far I am satisfied with how things are going. I really won’t know more on my thoughts until next school year.
