Sorry that this post is a little later today had things to do around the house. I have a fantastic recipe to share with you this week too. That will come later.
Now onto my story for this week about the tricky Easter Bunny…
Dakota woke up at about 6 AM and here is how the conversation went on for almost on hour at 2o minute intervals:
Dakota: Mommy did the Easter Bunny come yet?
Me: Not yet Dakota go back to sleep!
Finally I got tired of him asking and realized I wasn’t going to be able to sleep any longer I said well let’s check. He runs into the kitchen to see if their are Easter Baskets.
Dakota comes back into my room:
Dakota: Mommy I don’t think I have been a good enough boy as the Easter Bunny didn’t leave any baskets.
Me: I am sure he did come Dakota look around.
So Dakota goes looking around and comes running into my room.
Dakota: Mommy I found a Chocolate Bunny and starbursts he really did come.
Me: No Dakota that is Brad’s keep looking.
Dakota: (sadly) Oh!
Then Dakota runs into the living room where he tells Daddy that the Easter Bunny didn’t come. Daddy suggests he go look in his room. All of a sudden you hears squeels of delight. He found his Easter Basket right on the computer chair. Then he runs in to my room and says “Mommy that Easter Bunny is tricky!”
So Brittany is looking at Dakota like where is mine. So we tell her to run to the window and let’s see what’s outside. She runs to the window climbs over the chair and the first thing you hear is BUNNY. She was holding her stuffed Bunny. She then pulls out this pink wand type thing and looks at me like what’s this. I said Bubbles. She screams Bubbles over and over. She picks up a box with three bunnies in it wrapped in foil and she says. CHOCOLATE. LOL She is no dummy that is for sure. There were other goodies she got but that was the excitement to her.
We had a nice breakfast of eggs, pancakes and bacon and we cleaned up. We spent the morning blowing bubbles. Earl took Dakota and Brittany out to his parents so I had a nice quiet rest of the day. I made a ham for dinner which turned out perfect. I took my first test for school and aced it. I started working on the next unit and got half way through while they were gone. The peace and quiet was fantastic.

OMG what a terrific story. I can so picture the kids behaving exactly as they did. That was nice of Earl to give you a day off for a while. Dinner sounds great. Congrats on the test
