Yeah it’s that time again I have something incredible to share today. All About Kids is a meme that’s just about kids. Share what your kids are up too. Crafts, Projects, Outings, ETC…
This week I am going to share with you Dakota the Builder! He loves to build. In fact he went ahead and used scrap wood to try to build a house. Only he had enough for the floor. LOL I am going to show you what he built this week. Nope it’s not the house. But in the mist of his painting he thought it would be fun to paint my screen door. Sigh… Thank goodness it’s acrylic paint and will wash off.

I always encouraged my son to build. He liked to take things apart, too. It is good to encourage them to explore their talents and interests.

LOL It is finished. He painted it. It’s an air plane. Now if your asking about the club house he is trying to build…. LOL that’s another story….

Yeah!! I love to see others jump in. My son loves to build. We have some scrap wood in the garage. He has made a little plane and now a great big huge plane. Thanks for stopping by.

Hi plane was finished all painted. Wondering what his next project will be. My neighbors got a kick out of him in the their yard yesterday hammering away at boards. I will take pictures. He hung a bird house to the birch tree. Rather low. He put a little nail in there so the birds could have a little perch. LOL It was cute.
How neat! I love when little boys try to be handy! My little guys all have their own tools and are always building something with scrap wood we have laying around. I can’t wait to see the end result! So glad the paint will wash off of your door too! Funny how those little boys minds think! I’m sure he was just trying to help.

LOL his theory was well the door is old so it could use some fixing up… We have the scrap wood pile too. I love the creativity.

He looks very industrious! My youngest loves to build, but mostly with Legos – I have never let him loose with hammer and nails. Maybe I should.

Well last night he got the hammers taken away. They will be taken away for awhile now. Once in a while Dakota builds with legos. I wish he would build more often.
It’s great to see that you let him play around with tools! Some moms who would say that’s too dangerous, but kids need to have time to work out their interests and experiment! I’m an art teacher, so I totally approve:)

Hi Nancy! Thank you for stopping by. I let him explore his creativity. Lately he has been using more color. He really enjoy painting too.
I love visiting mommy blogs. I don’t have any children yet, but I figure that it is like getting a head start on the process. I get to read all the amazing tips from today’s mommies and hoping to be just as great when my time comes.

My guys love to build, too. They’ve built benches, little chairs, beds. Give them a hammer, nail, and some wood, and you’ve got a happy crew!

I love the projects too! The creativity and the finished product. Friday the kids are going to the rec center to make molds. I can’t wait to see what these turn out to be.

I love his plane. I love all the projects my babies do. They grow up so fast, so I enjoy every second of it now while I can. I always enjoy all of your pics:)

Awww Thank you! My son loves to build. The hammering is actually good sensory input for him.
Nothing like scrap wood, a hammer and a few nails to bring out the creativity. That’s a pretty cool plane, good work Dakota.

I thought his plane was cool. It was huge!! No I don’t think I have ever seen that website. I will make sure I check it out after my meeting this morning.
