From the looks of it there are many good looking recipes I can’t wait to try. I have decided each week that I am going to try a new recipe so I can share it with you on Tuesdays.
I apologize in advance for the not so great picture of the potato bread. It isn’t one of my best pictures and I am a terrible bread cutter! I need to invest in one of those things you can put homemade bread on that lets you cute the bread evenly. I use to have one but I have no idea where it went to.
My kids absolutely love fresh bread and rolls. Fresh baked bread and rolls don’t last long in this house. I think my youngest son is the one who likes it the most. My daughter told me today that I am the best bread maker….(melts my heart when they like it). My son asked if I could make a fresh loaf every day. I have decided that since I buy my bread flour in bulk why not use it up. We also make our own cinnamon rolls, pizza dough, and whatever else I can find to make from scratch. Doesn’t everything taste better fresh and homemade!
This recipe is very easy as it is for the bread machine. You will have to put the ingredients in according to how your bread machine suggests. I put the liquids in first and then the dry stuff and then dig a little hole for the yeast and start the bread machine. I did put this on light crust and it went for three hours. I do believe this is a 2lb loaf.
- 1 1/4 cup warm water
- 2 tbsp. oil
- 2 tsp salt
- 3 tbsp. sugar
- 3 tbsp. milk
- 1/4 cup instant potato flakes
- 4 cups bread flour
- 2 tsp active dry yeast
- I put this in the bread machine by liquids first and then dry goods. I dig a hole at the top for the yeast. I set my bread machine to light crust and it goes for 3 hours. Makes a 2lb loaf.
