Thursday Special Needs Blog Hop

Welcome to another week of Thursday’s Special Needs Blog Hop! Tammy and I look forward to this every week. It’s nice to meet all the different bloggers as well as hear their answers to the questions we ask each week.
This Week We Will NOT be featuring a blog. We will however start featuring a blog again next week. The reason why is because we want to concentrate on getting everyone to follow the blog hop instructions this week.

Rules:

To join in the Special Needs Blog Hop is simple. We will ask a question or give a topic and you go back to your blog create a Special Needs Blog Hop Post with your answers to the question or topic. Then come back and link up with a DIRECT link to your post.

We ask that you follow Autism Learning Felt and Super Mommy To The Rescue.

When hopping from blog to blog please let them know you came from the Special Needs Blog Hop in the comments.

We have noticed that some participants are not following the directions of this blog hop.  If you link up to this hop, and have not followed the directions, your link will be removed.

This Weeks Topic: Tell us a funny memory involving your child or children.

With a whole lot going on lately it’s really hard for me to think of something funny. I am sitting here trying to rack my brain and think of a funny memory. We have a lot of good times don’t get me wrong. I would have to say the most funniest thing I can think of was when he decided that it was time to cut his hair. He snuck into the bathroom. He literally gave one side of head a mohawk and butchered the other side. The funny thing is he went out side like that. I tried to stop him and warn him that the kids would laugh at him. He turns to look at me and said that his friends won’t laugh because he is starting a new hair style. I couldn’t help but chuckle on the inside. Needless to say that later that night the neighbor fixed his hair up as best he could. Dakota then liked his new hair cut.

LOL… he probably could start a new style!

I had to think & think as well. There are so many times they make me laugh but when it came to remembering & writing it down I would forget.

I’m from the special needs blog hop.

At least I am not the only one. I had to really think about it. I don’t think I could let him go out of the house with that hair. He was up and down the block riding his bike. Sigh…. it truly looked terrible but I didn’t want to hurt his feeling and tell him that.

That’s sweet. It’s really good that he has such a positive outlook on things. I hide the scissors, because I’m afraid my daughter would do that.

LOL Well he doesn’t always have a positive outlook. For some reason that day he did. I was actually surprised. The kids didn’t laugh at him I think their parents told them not to which was a good thing. He would come in and say see they didn’t laugh. So I had to say ok Dakota you were right. LOL It was kinda cute though.

Aww, if it is any consolation to you though I went and hid upstairs on Sunday morning and cut my own hair, hacked at it really:) I like that he was going to start a new trend, the kid to watch 😀 Jen

I don’t think I got any pictures from that to be honest. I don’t think he would sit still long enough to let me get it. I have to go back and look and see if I have them or not.

One day I noticed that there was some (I thought) cat fur in a little ball under the hall mirror. I picked it up and threw it out without thinking.

Next day Jake comes home with a note from school asking when he decided to give himself a haircut (wanting to make sure he had shown up at school that way and it hadn’t happened on their watch, I suppose).

I HADN’T NOTICED he had taken the scissors to a little patch on the top of his head. Sort of an opposite mohawk. Explained the “cat fur” in the hall.

In my defense, he has curly hair, which hides unevenness. Also? I was tired and obviously just oblivious that morning.

Hi, I’m visiting from the blog-hop. I used to get handy with the scissors myself as a child. In fact, I cut my own hair now. Not because I want to, but I can never get time to go to the hair salon these days!

I use to cut my own hair, however, Will thankfully hasn’t tried to cut his own hair for years.

I had a hard time coming up with something. After I wrote this post I did think of something that had us laughing on the fourth of July. It’s been a stressful week so I hard time thinking. LOL Thanks for stopping by.

What a self esteem builder you gave him by letting him go outside and show off his new hair cut. I’m not sure I could have done that!

Hi, I’m surfing my way through the blog hop. I love the imagery of his one-sided mohawk. It sounds like something my son would do. Too bad you didn’t get a picture of that one! LOL
    Have a wonderful week!

I have to smile about the haircut as my children have done that. The despair they had afterwards was priceless as Mommy comes to the rescue(no pun intended) to fix their attempt. Unfortunately I missed the blog hop this week but hope to catch it next week.

LOL Have to admit though the self hair cuts can be kind funny when you look back on them. Thanks for stopping by.
