Things That Made Me Smile Today!

I know I am so late in writing a post today. I have had a busy day since I woke up. So I thought it was to late to jump in any meme’s tonight. I am so behind in reading blogs and I will catch up this weekend. I promise! I just want to stay home and go no where this weekend.

So tonight I thought I would share with you what made me smile today.

I picked up Dakota from school today and Brittany of course was with me. Everyone that walked in the door she would say HI too. She did this yesterday too her. She makes the cutest scrunching face and smiles after someone says Hi back. LOL I couldn’t help but smile.

I walked down to Dakota’s classroom to pick him up and I dreaded it as I told him this morning that Daddy was picking him up and I thought he was going to be mad because it was me. I said sorry it’s me picking you up Daddy got stuck at the bank talking. He said I didn’t want Daddy to pick me up I wanted you to. That made me smile. As we were walking he handed me this picture from art. It was Apple trees that he cut out and drew. He was so proud of it. I told him that I would show everyone on Tuesday! He was excited.

Then Dakota was talking about a sewing project he is working on in art. Dakota says: Mommy my teacher is dumb. I don’t ever want to do sewing again it would be so much easier if we could just use the machines. I looked at him as said Dakota did you poke your finger with the needle. He looks at me and says Yeah and hurts. LOL Sounds like something I would do. I can’t sew to save my life.

Have a great night!

Thank you. It’s been a rotten week and instead of dwelling it I thought about the things that made me smile. My kids surely know how to make me smile. Especially without knowing it.

Whew glad I am not the only one that really can’t sew. I am terrible at it. I wouldn’t mind learning as I would like to make my own curtains. I attempted once and wow were they crooked. LOL

I can’t sew either. I am putting together my daughter’s Halloween costume and it could be a disaster. Sounds like Dakota had a good day (except for the sewing).

Dakota is a sweet heart! He makes me laugh. Although today he wants to be alone and not be bothered. Sigh… oh well.

I love those warm fuzzy moments. My favorite ever is when my little guy looked at me and told me I was his best buddy in the whole wide world. My heart swelled! You sure have some sweethearts!
