Things That Go – Transportation Printables – Poppins Book Nook June

This is my first time participating in the Poppins Book Nook blog series. The theme for the month of June is travel/transportation. There are many different bloggers that participate and I highly recommend you check out what they have to offer.

The book we read was DK Lets Look: Things that Go. This book is great for kids ages 1 – 5. It talks about all modes of transportation and even has I Spy pages that go with each mode of transportation. For example it talked about cars and the different cars like vans, small cars and how many passengers it carried. I found it very useful to teach the different modes of transportation for air, land and sea.

I created a printable to use with the book DK Lets Look: Things That Go. I am not affliated with DK and these were meant to be FREE for your personal use along with the book.

The printables are Read, Trace and Write. Different modes of transportation.

We didn’t get a chance to do any crafts yet. I would like to share with you the crafts that we will be doing that I found on pinterest. If you click the picture it will take you to the pins.

We did however play a few different transportation apps on our ipad.

We played Kids Trains & Transportation it is a free download. You can purchase an in-app purchase to unlock all puzzles. It’s perfect as it goes along with the book we read with different puzzles for different modes of transportation.

Paapuu Coloring Book Transportation different pages for kids to color. This is a free app. My daughter was able to color and use her own imagination of what colors things would look like.

Transportation Dot to Dot for Kids and Toddlers was another one we used. Instead of numbers you connect the alphabet. There is an in app purchase that allows you all planes and no ads. I am not crazy about ads in apps but I loved that this went along with the theme and my daughter had practice with the alphabet.
