Thin Stix 6pk of Classic Colors – Review – An Amazing Mess Free Product

Do your kids like to be crafty? What would you say if you could use paints with out making a mess? My daughter has really been enjoying Thin Stix 6pk of Classic Colors by The Pencil Grip, Inc. I am loving it as there are no huge messing to clean up! This product is great for all ages!

Let me tell you about these amazing Thin Stix. Thin Stix are solid tempera paint sticks. You just take the cap off, twist the paint up to desired working position and you paint.  You can color, paint, and draw with these. The Thin Stix are non toxic.

The nice thing is Kwik Stix has short fatter ones, neon, metallic, and then these amazing thin ones. If you look at the picture you can see the top of the paint stick. There is absolutely no mess with these. In fact the paint dries in 90 seconds. How awesome is that! With the smaller tip you have more control. You can draw better, and when your trying to paint in smaller areas you can get to easier with the Thin Stiks.

How We Used These:

My daughter was squealing with excitement when these arrived. She is absolutely in love with them, and I must admit that I am too. I love the fact that she can paint with out a mess. I also love the fact that we don’t have to use water with them. We used them on paper and canvas. I have seen a really neat Mother’s Day Project using them on popsicle sticks. So you really can use these paint sticks on many different surfaces.

We also have a set of Kwik Stix that are shorter and fatter and have more colors. They are the very same consistency of the Thin Stixs. The only difference is that the Thin Stixs are thinner and allow you to have more control over what you are doing. You can get into areas that you may not have been able to with the fatter stixs.

One thing I noticed about my daughter using these is the fact that she likes to blend colors. For example, she used a lighter blue and then a white to make it even lighter. She had just enough time to blend the colors before it dried. It looked really nice. I think that is one of the things that she really liked about it.

The picture above is using the Thin Stixs on just regular white paper. I love how bold the colors are. You can press hard and fill things in and you can go light. You can get different texture type looks depending on how you use the stixs.

The above picture was used with the Thin Stixs and also some shorter and fatter Kwik Stixs. As you notice the belly of Stitch she blended white with the light blue. Notice how she has control with them to make them as dark or as light as she wants. Notice her doodles on the outside of Stitch. She went lighter and not so hard on the left and a lighter harder on the right.

There really is a lot to love about the Thin Stixs. My favorite thing about them is they are mess free, use no water, and they dry really quick. So when your making quick gifts for people you don’t have to wait hours before they dry. My daughter is absolutely in love with these. She could spend hours just using them to draw and paint.
