My Thoughts:

I read this book to my daughter. I read the instructions to the read about emphasizing a word or sentence in bold, and read the sentence in a calm and slow voice when in italic. I also added my daughters name into the story as well as yawned myself when prompted. My daughter actually was getting tired. She was just about to fall asleep at the end of the story. I found this story to be relaxing. I liked that there were really slow and calm sentences that actually make you relax. Emphasizing the words I am not so sure about. However, if my daughter was tired at the end of the book then I do know it combined to did actually work. The story was very sweet. The rabbit meets different people on his journey and by the time his journey is over he is really tired. Now I can’t tell you about the journey because you really need to read it for yourself to understand the story. I would recommend this book for a bed time story as I really did notice it relaxed and made my daughter sleepy.
