I got the chance to read through The Handy Answer Book for KIDS (and Parents). I must say I absolutely loved it. I even laughed at some of the questions that were thought of. I don’t think there is a question I couldn’t have thought off that wasn’t answered in this book.

You know how kids can ask the most darndest things well this book is full of answers. Kids have curious minds and they start to ask some very interesting questions. Why do dogs bark? Why is the sky blue? Why do people have to grow old? Well the questions you see all have ansers to them and kids deserve answers. Sometimes even us adults don’t have the answers. Well this is where The Handy Answer Book for KIDS (and Parents) can come in handy.

The author Gina Misiroglu wrote this book with a child’s imagination in mind, this is a easy-to-understand book that permits kids to help themselves because it’s organized by simple topical chapters: Outer Space; Planet Earth and Our Moon, Creatures Big and Small; Plant Life; People around the World; Politics and Government; How Things Work; Math, Measurement, and Time; All about My Body, and Daily Life. Each question has a complete answer and goes beyond “because” and “it just is” and “I don’t know.”

Some of my favorite questions were:

• Where in space could you ice skate?
• What are icequakes?
• Would it hurt if a plant-eating dinosaur bit you?
• How do coconuts swim?
• Can farm animals be cloned?
• Why did soldiers once wear armor?
• What is a “smartphone”?
• What is googol?
• How much air does a person breathe in a lifetime?
• Why do mice cry red tears?

See there was some really interesting questions. Some I didn’t even know or wouldn’t have even thought of. LOL To find these answers you can purchase this book or if your lucky you can win a copy!
