Ten New To Me HomeSchool Links

I have been on a hunt for new things to use with the kids. Whether they be ideas that I can use or sites they can play on. I thought I would share them with all of you, whether your a homeschooler or not.

File Folder Farm – This is a really cute blog. This gal makes file folder games that are in color and they range from PreK – 2nd Grade. I have saved the file folders and plan to use them with my daughter and my son.

BEAM – Stands for Be a Mathematician. This site ranges from ages 3 – 13. I have noticed they have some things we are currently working on in math such as fractions, place value and rounding.

KidSoup – This is a cute site for Preschool and Kindergarten activities. I think you can use some of the crafts for lower elementary too. I like this site as it has free ideas as well as a subscription. I bought a year subscription and so far really like it. I love the craft ideas for the kids.

KidSparkz – This is my new favorite website for preschool. They have free units available. They also have bigger units that you can purchase too. There is many free things here. I have bought some of the monthly curriculum that I plan on using with my daughter. The free part of it is a gold mine!

The Well Trained Minds – Has a forum and in this forum that I am linking has a ton of links to free resources. I absolutely love it! There is something for every subject here.

Texas Assessment – This site covers Grade 3 –  Grade 11. They have study guides in reading and math which I thought was kind of interesting. I haven’t really spent much time here yet but I plan to check out the study guides a little more.

The Prepetual Preschool – This site has over 12,000 free ideas for both parents and educators. I noticed on the front page they had themes. I have had this book marked just never really checked it out. It’s on my list to check out this weekend.

Hands on Science Activities – This site has some hands on science activities that have to do with weather.

The Teachers Corner – I love this site as it offers many things such as lesson plans, thematic units, seasonal items, Bulletin boards, printable worksheets and more.

Homeschooling at Sassafrass Grove – This site as a TON of different Unit Studies

If you have some links that you would like to share please do 🙂
