Time4Learning – TOS CREW Review

For a while I have been looking at what to use for my daughter for Kindergarten. I was really excited to have a chance to review Time4Learning. For Kindergarten it has three man subjects: Language Arts, Science and Math. The biggest part I was excited for was Language Arts and Science.

Time4Learning covers grades PreK – Eighth Grade and Algebra. There are also 4 High School Courses.  It’s perfect for afterschool use, homeschool, and Summer Use. It’s convenient and flexible. You can log on any where you have an internet connection and it’s available 24/7. You can use this as curriculum for a whole year or you can use it as a supplement or even if your child needs more work.

Look Left, Look Right, Look Left Again Book Review

If are working on crossing the street now or in the future then you will want to check out Look Left, Look Right, Look Left Again by Ginger Pate. This book was published by Green Bark Press.

I have never heard of Greene Bark Press before this review so I took the time to read about them. What I found fascinating is that they publish books that they feel are original, colorful, imaginative, and have some value to add to the growth and learn process of young readers. The books are selected for originality, imagery, and colorfulness. The intention is to capture a child’s attention and fire-up young imaginations, and spark the desire to read. This made me appreciate the book I reviewed a whole lot more. Not only that but everything I mentioned about the company you can truly see it in the quality of the book.  lookleftlookrightlookleftagain_zps08f68e39

Pond Life – Lapbook Review – TOS Review

In this house we love lapbooks for learning. We use lapbooks for a lot of different subjects. I was really excited to try Pond Life by In The Hands of a Child. This lapbook is for Grades K – 2.  We had a lot of fun with this lapbook and the fun hasn’t ended yet. As tomorrow we are going to spend a few hours at the pond looking around for some of the things we have learned from this lapbook.

Reading Kingdom Review

Do you have beginning readers? Reading Kingdom is an online reading program that teachers your children ages 4 – 10 how to read and write to a third grade level.

What a I really liked about this is that the level my daughter started out with was sequencing and learning the on screen keyboard. It starts out by showing you a word and gives you a mixed box of letters. Your child has to spell the word seen in order. Later it shows you the word and disappears so your child has to do it from memory. There are cues if your child gets stuck. It also teaches them the name of the words when they complete the word.
