Well today Dakota had another melt down this time he was screaming and yelling and at times he threw things at the mention of school. Not sure what is the trigger as I said he could just go to gym today. I called the Case Manager to see what her thoughts might be and to let her know what was going on. Well I was going to post my email to the teacher and special ed teacher but I won’t. It was a freaking joke. I am so glad that I contacted the special ed director today. He was very nice.

I explained to him the things that have been going on the last couple weeks. He suggested doing half days temporarily.

So starting next Monday He will start school at 11:50 for that week. The following week he starts at 10. Then they are off one week. When they start again he will start at 9AM. Then the following week he will start at the normal time.  Read more...

I am so very upset and frustrated as I write this post. I am hoping that someone who is in my shoes and dealing with autism or even a special needs child can give me some adivce or tell me your in the same shoes.

This morning I took Dakota to school. When we get to school it’s always my throat hurts and my tummy really hurts. Well I started asking what makes him so upset about coming to school. His response was I miss you, Brittany, and Sugar Bear. I explained to him that he had to be in school. Well then the nail biting began. Well I heard from the principal today. We talked about reading/language and it was just some communication problems between Brad and his teacher. Also on some days he missed he missed some important things and that’s where the communication problems are. She spoke very highly of Brad which was really nice to hear. We both are going to nudge him some more when he needs it.

As for Spanish I found out that he has 13 assignments he has NOT completed so Brad deserves the F no arguments there. I have to have a talk with him about this as it’s really not acceptable.  Read more...

Well thankfully Dakota does not have H1N1. He doesn’t have strep. I didn’t think he would as he doesn’t have tonsils. His throat is a little red and still had a low grade fever.

I did mention to the Doctor that Dakota has had fevers for a day and no other symptoms. I also asked if it’s possible that we are dealing with the stress in autism. She said that is a possibility. Seriously he has a fever about once a week or every other week with no other symptoms.  Read more...
