Chicken and Ham Casserole

I sat here this morning. Trying to figure out what I could make for dinner. Well I came across this recipe and I have everything on hand. I have never made this before nor have I ever tasted it. Tonight we before the first.

Chicken and Ham Casserole

1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons butter

1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons flour

3 cups milk

1 1/2 cups cooked chicken breasts, cubed

1 1/2 cups ham, cubed

1 1/2 cups wide cooked egg noodles

3/4 cup celery (I am leaving this out as I have picky kids)

Recipe Swap Monday – Banana Split Snack Cake

Banana Split Snack Cake

Ingredients:
1/3 cup butter, softened
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1 medium ripe banana, mashed
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1-1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup chopped walnuts
2 cups miniature marshmallows
1 cup (6 ounces) semisweet chocolate chips
1/3 cup maraschino cherries, quartered
Directions:
In a bowl, cream butter and sugar. Beat in the egg, banana and vanilla. Combine flour, baking powder and salt; stir into creamed mixture. Add walnuts. Spread evenly into a greased 13-in. x 9-in. baking pan. Bake at 350° for 20 minutes. Sprinkle with the marshmallows, chocolate chips and cherries. Bake 10 minutes longer or until lightly browned. Cool on a wire rack. Cut into squares. Yield: 24-30 servings.

Easy Ham and Noodles

This is tonight’s dinner with the left over ham.

2 cups cooked egg noodles

1 cup cooked cubed ham

1/2 cup cheddar cheese (unless your like me and use a whole bag)

1 can condensed cream of chicken soup

1/2 cup milk

Preheat oven to 375

Place noodles, ham, cheese, soup, and milk in a 9 x9 inch casserole dish and mix well.

Bake for 25 to 30 minutes

I did make this bread Sunday Night. I made this for my husband to take to work. I don’t make a lot of  Breads in summer typically. But we haven’t really had much of a summer either. LOL

Pumpkin Bread Recipe

1 1/2 cups flour

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup sugar

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 cup of pumpkin puree

1/2 cup olive oil

2 eggs beaten

1/4 cup water

1/2 teaspoon nutmeg

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Cherry Bread Recipe

Today I decided to make Cherry Bread. I was in the mood to bake something today. I am a cherry lover! I could eat anything with cherries in it.

Cherry Bread Recipe

2 cups Flour

1 1/2 Teaspoons Baking Powder

1/2 Teaspoon Salt

1 Cup Sugar

2 Eggs, beaten

8 ounces Maraschino Cherries and Juice, cut into pieces

1 Cup Walnuts (optinal)

Pre Heat Oven to 350

  1. Mix eggs and sugar together
  2. Add juice from cherries
  3. Add sifted dry ingredients and mix well
