As the school year starts I know I ask myself are my kids picking up more from school then they learn? Certainly once the school year hits it’s time for those germies to come out of their crevices and start spreading. While you’re packing the school  supplies into your child’s backpack don’t forget the supplies they’ll need to stay germ-free, too.

I am a person who likes quick breakfasts. Sometimes I myself don’t even eat breakfasts. I had the chance to try the Yoplait Strawberry Banana Frozen Smoothie. I never realized how thick they get when you make them in the blender. I never knew it was just milk and fruit! The fruit tasted fresh and looked fresh as well. General Mills has some great news for the cereal lovers out there. General Mills has announced a commitment to further reduce sugar in cereals advertised to kids under 12 to single digit grams of sugar per serving. The company has already been reducing sugar in cereals while increasing key nutrients, such as calcium and vitiman D, and providing whole grain.

This was good news to me as a healthy breakfast is important. I am happy that General Mills is lowering the sugar and increasing key nutrients. I was never crazy about the amount of sugar in cereals and now my kids can eat cereal and be happy!
