My daughter has been really into bible studies this last year. She has her own bible but it is a New King James Version and a little hard for her to understand. She was really excited to see The Beginner’s Bible from Zonderkidz. This is a perfect bible for kids ages 6 and under, however my daughter is 8 and is totally in love with this.
Reading the Bible with my daughter has gotten way more interesting with the Faith Builders Bible from Zonderkidz. I suppose you are thinking what makes it more interesting. Well if your child loves building with building bricks (aka LEGOs) they will love this Bible.
The Faith Builders Bible contains 24 illustrated photos of brick building of scenes and objects in the Bible. Some of the pictures are really amazing. This is meant to engage kids into learning more about the Bible. This particular Bible is an NIrV copy, which stands for New International Reader’s Version.I used this with my daughter and my son. We started at the beginning in Genesis. We normally read the King James Version, however I really liked this version for the kids as it was in simpler terms and it seemed to be easier for the kids to understand.
I have to tell you about a couple stories over the last couple days that have really kinda of made me chuckle. I think my favorite things about being a parent is watching my kids grow and become themselves and watching their personalities.
I don’t remember what Brittany was mad about but she was having one of her little temper tantrums. I looked over at her and said Brittany your such a Drama Queen. Brittany’s response: NO I Brittany! I couldn’t help but giggle at that. I was a little irratated with her little temper tantrum but that response had me giggling.
Yesterday I spent the whole day with my daughter in between homeschooling Dakota. We first started out by drawing Christmas Pictures and the making them look like Snow. Both Dakota and Brittany did this. Dakota had autism therapy yesterday for 2 hours so I used that time to spend with Brittany. We played catch, played with dolls, read books, watched TV. She helped me make lunch. After all the she finally tired out. LOL
