iPhone App Favorites Week 3

Each week I plan on taking some time out and sharing what our favorite apps of the week are. We are constantly downloading new apps every week to try out. Some are free and some we purchase. Right now I am only writing them up for the iPhone. In a couple weeks I will be starting to include iPad. Some are just fun game playing and others are educational. I have some apps for the iPad that look like they will be great additions to our homeschooling. However, until we get iPad I can’t tell you about them :(

Merry Cubes iPhone App Review – Puzzle and Dancing Fruit – Too Fun

Merry Cubes is a 3D Cube puzzle game. It’s very simple. You just swipe, tap, and match the fruit. Once you have matched the fruit you will see the fruit dance as a reward for completing the puzzle. This was designed for little fingers ages 2 – 7.

Features:

  • 6 different 3d fruit to match and discover
  • 2 levels of difficulty – easy (4 cubes) and hard (9 cubes)
  • funny animations as a reward after every other fruit is matched and surprising animations at the end of the game

High Functioning Autism and iPads – Where’s the help?

I am writing this post in a way to vent out some feelings that I have. I am not saying that things people are doing are unfair. I am saying that I think there is not equality in the Autism world.

Xylophone by Pi’ikea Street iphone App Review


Xylophone a free app by Pi’ikea Street. If your child loves music and loves learning how to play music then this is the perfect app. If you nocite the little hand with a finger pointing in the picture it guides you through how to play the song. You can pick what ever song you would like to learn from your choices at the top. Your child will learn how to play each song with the help of the little hand.

The songs in Xylophone are:

  2. Doe a Deer

Pi’ikea Street – Color For Ipods Contest
