I remember back when I was younger Count Chocula use to be one of my favorite cereals. I guess I never really had to worry about the sugar content when I was little as I was a really picky eater and my parents would get me the cereal so I would eat a good breakfast. It was a quick and easy thing to make for myself in the mornings. Seeing the pictures and receiving the cereal really took me a trip of Back When.. General Mills has some great news for the cereal lovers out there. General Mills has announced a commitment to further reduce sugar in cereals advertised to kids under 12 to single digit grams of sugar per serving. The company has already been reducing sugar in cereals while increasing key nutrients, such as calcium and vitiman D, and providing whole grain.

This was good news to me as a healthy breakfast is important. I am happy that General Mills is lowering the sugar and increasing key nutrients. I was never crazy about the amount of sugar in cereals and now my kids can eat cereal and be happy!
