The kids and I really enjoy history. We currently had the chance to review a christian history fiction book called Shepherd, Potter, Spy — and the Star Namer by Peggy Consolver – Author. This book was biblically brought to life in a the most unique way ever. This book is geared for middle school to adult.
Do your children love puzzles? Then I highly recommend trying the unique FlipStir Puzzles by Enlivenze LLC. For this review we received the Rainbow Pencils Level 1 Puzzle. It contains 10 3D puzzle pieces. These puzzles are great for ages 7 and up. Personally I think they are fun for the whole family.
The FlipStir Puzzles come in their own contained canisters. This means that the puzzles pieces are all in this canister and they don’t come out like a regular puzzle. You use a wand to maneuver the pieces to solve the puzzle. It’s really simple, you just shake, stir and solve. I love this idea for puzzles because the pieces cannot get lost. It’s a little more challenging to solve the puzzle, but it can be done.
Looking back and saying goodbye to 2014 and a big welcome to 2015. 2015 is going to be a year of some changes. Picking just one word to focus on this year was really hard for me as there are a few that I want to focus on. I suppose I can make them resolutions but my main focus for 2015 is FAMILY.
My husband and I have been reflecting back and talking about a few things a lot recently. One of the things we feel is important to us is spending more time as a family. I think we have let technology take us over and we want to start limiting it and doing more things together. I for one am totally up for that.
