My daughter has been really into bible studies this last year. She has her own bible but it is a New King James Version and a little hard for her to understand. She was really excited to see The Beginner’s Bible from Zonderkidz. This is a perfect bible for kids ages 6 and under, however my daughter is 8 and is totally in love with this.
For the past few weeks my children have had fun practice language and math concepts using the Complete Home Learning Suite by Essential Skills Advantage. This is a nice supplement to add into your homeschool. The subjects covered are math, reading, language & grammar, science and geography. The grades that this is geared for is K – 6.
Reading the Bible with my daughter has gotten way more interesting with the Faith Builders Bible from Zonderkidz. I suppose you are thinking what makes it more interesting. Well if your child loves building with building bricks (aka LEGOs) they will love this Bible.
The Faith Builders Bible contains 24 illustrated photos of brick building of scenes and objects in the Bible. Some of the pictures are really amazing. This is meant to engage kids into learning more about the Bible. This particular Bible is an NIrV copy, which stands for New International Reader’s Version.I used this with my daughter and my son. We started at the beginning in Genesis. We normally read the King James Version, however I really liked this version for the kids as it was in simpler terms and it seemed to be easier for the kids to understand.
We are in the third week of blogging through the alphabet with Ben and Me Blog. This weeks letter is the letter C. I have been doing a lot of thinking about my children the last few days. I have though about how each one of them are growing up way to fast. I am afraid to blink and miss something. My children are my world.
