I have really been kind of bothered lately over something that happened one night last week. I volunteer my time every Thursday night at Church while people come and do Bible Study in their small groups. My daughter comes with me and Dakota goes to a group for his age. This post is really hard for me to write as I have so many things going through my head at the moment. Over the last few days I have seen a lot of repetition in Brittany. Signs that are starting to kind of alarm me.

I had her evaluated back in Spring for Autism. The doctor said at that point in time she had characteristics but not enough to diagnose her. He said that she could possibly have Aspergers or PDD NOS.  Read more...

Well today was the day I went to Brads Parenting class to talk about autism. I thought I was going to be ate alive by the high schoolers. I didn’t think any of them really would want to listen to what I had to say. I was shocked because there was a lot of them that did listen and pay attention. I heard some make comments and then watching the faces was very interesting. A few in the back corner though didn’t seem interested but that’s ok.  Read more...

At the start of the school year I was a little outraged as to the Parenting Class being mandatory. Back in my days it was something that was optional. I don’t think it should be forced on the kids however after I did a little checking with the school board and talked with the teacher I kind of changed my mind. Unfortunately there are parents out there that won’t teach their kids so well many schools have taken upon themselves. Now I can teach my kid parenting skills. Heck he has a younger brother and sister. So he knows what babies are like.  Read more...

Welcome to Super Mommy’s Special Needs Blog Hop. Life got so busy that I just didn’t have much time to blog and I really have missed it. The one thing I missed was the Special Needs Blog Hop. So I thought I would start it up again. The reason behind it is I would love to see the Special Needs Community Closer.
