Tammy over at Autism Learning Felt hosts the meme Autism Mom Thursdays. This weeks theme is anything related to family.

This is a picture of Dakota and Brad from earlier this year. We all went to the park. I think it was the beginning of spring. As you can see Dakota isn’t by the other kids he was by his brother. That day he really did try to play with other kids but there was some kids there that weren’t to nice to him and it really broke my heart. The other parents didn’t even try to stop what their kids were doing.

Well it’s time for Tammy’s meme Autism Mom Thursday. And wow did she pick a hard one this week. It’s very difficult as  I could list many things about my son that are my favorite things. We are to name one thing  that our child does that makes us feel amazed and happy.

I guess my one favorite thing would be when I actually see him interacting with other kids. He doesn’t do that often any more. I love seeing him have fun with others. He use to have one friend that he would interact with. They had an amazing bond. They were inseperable. Then we moved and they don’t see each other a lot anymore.

This week is Things I Thought Would Never Happen

1. I never thought my son would want to socialize with kids. He now wants to try to have friendships.

2. I never thought my son would learn to talk when he was younger. He sure does talk up a storm now. His speech needs to get better with articulation but he is coming along.
