Well today was the day I went to Brads Parenting class to talk about autism. I thought I was going to be ate alive by the high schoolers. I didn’t think any of them really would want to listen to what I had to say. I was shocked because there was a lot of them that did listen and pay attention. As I sit here and start thinking of the up coming school year and start to get things ready. I thought about all of Dakota’s accomplishments this year. He has excelled some in math which I am very proud to see. Still struggling with the writing so we will work extra hard at that this year. Reading is getting somewhat better. He has cooperated with me more then I thought he would. I am so proud of him for that. We have sat down and watched for some sales and we have picked out stuff that will interest him and stuff that he wants to learn about.  Read more...

Well I was pretty riled up before the meeting. I still have mixed feelings but no hard feelings really like most of the meetings I have left. I went in there calm and cool and I even had an open mind. I am giving the school till the end of the year to see what happens. I want to see if Dakota’s anxiety and stress get better. When I say this I don’t mean that the school isn’t doing enough because honestly they really are trying.  Read more...

My daughter is running a fever this morning. I am rather surprised as she is still on antibiotics for her ear infection. I am not sure if it’s due to teething or not so I am going to give it a day or two  and see how it goes. Unless her fever gets really high then I will take her to the Doctor. Dakota has a Doctor appointment again this morning. I am really tired of having sick kids.  Read more...
