Well I have been waiting to write my update and I finally heard from the neurologist. The EEG was normal and actually looked good and there was a possibility of Dakota being weened off his seizure medicine. Well since he had a seizure that’s not an option anymore. Well I never got a chance to have a meeting with the teachers this week as Dakota’s teacher, her little baby was really sick with a fever. So we rescheduled it for next week and it should be interesting.

Our meeting is about bullying, planning what to do the rest of the school year if he is sick alot, homework, and what ever other issues come up.  Read more...

Well it’s been a while since I really filled you all in on what is going on here. Dakota had his med change this week. Both my me and his new doctor. The only thing I really see is that he is still hyper and over stimulated. My neighbors who are like our second family even noticed a difference. Dakota is using his manners better, he gets along with the kids with out fighting, less screaming , no meanness, just hyper. LOL So much more pleasant when he wants to do things. Later today we are going to make Leprechaun hats. I will show the pictures during the All About Kids Tuesday Meme. Dakota thinks that if we make these hats he can catch the leprechauns and steal their pot of gold. LOL Love his imagination.  Read more...

One day I was going through an absolute rough day with Dakota and @musicandkids suggested I use music. I totally forgot about that as my son loves music. He use to love to listen to Classical music as a baby. How could I forget that. LOL It’s true that he is a music nut. Music does settle but there are types of music that make him dance and go nuts. LOL I would like to share with you what Betsy from @musicandkids on twitter shared with me. Thanks Betsy for writing this up. I must total agree kids with Autism sure do love music. We have had the most horrible week. Dakota had med changes we went from one end of the spectrum to another. It’s absolutely horrible. I really hate the way meds alter behaviors or make other behaviors worse. Now don’t go thinking I am blaming  just med because he really does have behaviors he needs to change.  Read more...
