Someones Following Me….

Author: We decided to talk a walk as the weather outside is beautiful
We got down the road and to the corner and Dakota hops off his bike. He finds this itty bitty birds nest..
Mom can we keep it.. Ok since it was lying face down I didn’t see the harm.
We keep on walking and I decided to walk the trail to the Marina Park. Well we get there and here it is…
Dakota followed this goose all over the Marina Park. I was surprised it let him get that close. Brittany even tried to get close. Nah… I don’t think so… Those suckers are mean when they are pissed off. This little guy wasn’t mean.
Finally I said Dakota lets get walking home. We turn around and look behind us.
Yep look who is wondering his way out of the park… So we keep going on the trails we look back we thought he would stay. Well as we were headed down the trail the goose flew so close to me before he landed it actually scared the crap outta me. The guys who were cleaning fish stopped and looked to see why I screamed. LOL
As I kept walking he kept walking beside me….
Needless to say he only follow us through half the trail and decided to stick around where he was. I really thought he was going to follow us all the way. LOL
Those are the adventures for today!

LOL Wouldn’t it!! I thought for sure he was coming home with me…
you are so right that those geese can be very mean. i used to manage this restaurant that was also a marina. for as long as i can remember there were always geese there. people would feed them and there used to be a farmer that would dump corn there for them. so when there feedings got less and less they started attacking people. it was totally crazy. i had to make sure that i always had some bread for them just to get into the door.

That is crazy and scary at the same time! He was such a loner and so cute. I almost wish I had bread along. I told Dakota next time we will take some.
yes, geese can be mean little things, but they are also little characters. we had them on the college campus and they’d chase you if they were feeling ornery.
how great that you were able to capture that with photos.

Thanks Michelle! They sure do have personality. There is a ton on the beach! I don’t know where they keep coming from. For a while we had ducks in our yard and I am about 3 minutes from the beach if that.

ROFL I don’t know what he thought. My son is a huge animal lover.. I can’t believe he followed him and skipped a day of playing at the park.
Wow, that must have been fun to watch. I would have screamed like a banshee if it had flown that close to me.

Wow! They can be mean! That is funny that he was following you! It’s cool that you were able to get pics of the goose and now you will have this memory to share down the road.

LOL Well this wasn’t over the pond this was like right over my shoulder…. Seriously though I love seeing the geese and all the seagulls. I know the town people complain because of all the poop on the beach but I don’t care… I love them.
That is cool, the goose knew that Dakota wasn’t a threat and decided it liked him. What a great story and photos.
I had one charge me a few weeks ago in one of our parks, I stood my ground and he backed off. They are fun to watch.

Yikes!! That’s kinda scary when they charge. The only time I have seem them charge is at the wildlife sanctuary when they are nesting their eggs. Glad you liked the pictures.

I really thought he was coming home with us. That would have been a trip walking through the city and crossing the streets.
My dog hates the geese because they’ve dive bombed him a few times. Needless to say he’s become a bird chaser. But he runs from the geese and howls like no tommorow and no he isn’t a hound dog.

That is too funny!! Thanks for participating in my little hop! I was a “test subject” for a new feature lol…This is a cute story…we have a place a few hours away from here where you can go and walk around and feed geese and swans and ducks…and sometimes those geese are mean!
