Snow Storm Photos
I went out there to measure my snow totals. My snow board said 8 inches. But my average snow depth totals are 9.24 inches. It’s very hard to measure the snow with all the blowing and drifting and being accurate. I took some pictures these are from 7 AM this morning!
This picture is the first set of Birch trees on my lot as you can see they are hanging pretty low with the wet and heavy snow.

This is my second set of Birch Trees. I get nervous about this tree as my bay window is right by them. LOL

This is my neighbors Pine Tree. A big chunk really snapped off and is off the ground. Normally you can just about walk underneath it. That’s how tall it is.

These branches you see here are from my neighbors maple tree. Those are normally no where near the ground and up high!

The plow has the snow packed up way over the corner. It’s over a foot high. You can see how high it is against the stop sign.

This is what my front porch looks like.

Wow!! But it does look pretty! We had just a couple inches late last night but the rain that followed this morning washed it all away. No longer looks pretty. Oh well:) Hopefully by Christmas:D

Northern Door County had rain earlier today. I don’t know how much of the snow got washed away there. But it was heavy snow. It does look pretty though.

Wow, it’s beautiful but I’m glad we don’t have that here. We got a little 1.5″ fall on Saturday and that was plenty.

Tis the season for the snow storms. This one was one of the worst in a while. I don’t know how many more inches we got after I measured this morning. I will know tomorrow morning.

Cool photos. Very scary when the trees get heavy like that though. We lost power last year for a week in an ice storm, when the trees got like that. Yesterday we got about 11 inches here! Winter is here I guess.

You must not be for from me Sue. I am talking State wise. YIKES that would be scary to lose power for a whole week. We haven’t lost power thankfully. The fire department and rescue squad are doing something new here in the county this year. If you have little kids or are elderly and your power is out for a while you call the Sheriff’s Department and they send the rescue squad to come and make sure you are all ok. They have a emergency warm place set up in case it’s needed. Which I thought was amazing. They never did that before. Thankfully we haven’t lost power since yesterday.
