Shamrock Marble Painting Craft
For the past few days I have been wanting to get some crafting done for St Patrick’s day. But each day something came up and we didn’t do anything. I am going to try to have some craft ideas over the next couple days.
Today Brittany and I did some marble painting on shamrocks we cut out. She had a lot of fun rolling the marbles around in the pie pan with the paint. I love the effect of the marbles on the paper too.
Marble Painting Shamrocks:
You Will Need:
- green and yellow sheets of construction paper
- green and yellow kids paint
- marbles
- pie pan
- scissor
- shamrock pattern (you can find that below the directions)
Directions:
Right click and save the shamrock pattern to your computer. Then print one copy of the shamrock patter.
I took one piece of green and one piece of yellow construction paper. I folded them in half and then in half again. I trimmed the shamrock patter so it fit the folded construction paper. I then took my scissors and I cut out the shamrocks. You will end up with 4 shamrocks of each color.
Then I took one yellow shamrock and I placed it in the pan. I poured spot of green paint in the middle of the shamrock. My daughter put three marbles in the pie pan and she grabbed the pie pan and shock it around until she was satisfied with how the shamrock looked. I then set the shamrock on white paper to dry.
Once I was done with the yellow shamrock I took the green shamrock and placed it in the pie pan. I put a spot of yellow paint and repeated the same actions with the marbles.
Once dry we are going to hang them through the house.
Enjoy!

Now that looks like fun! And reminds me, it’s time to take down my Valentine’s flag

I still have my Valentine’s Day stuff up yet. I have to get some St Patty window cling ons. I am still on the hunt for green lights.
Those turned out really cute. I like the idea of the marbles to create the patterns. I can’t believe it’s almost St. Patrick’s Day. This year is going fast.

Thank you. I can’t believe how fast the year is going either. It seems like it was just Christmas.
That’s such a simple and cute craft!
