Happy Saturday to all. I hope you all are having a great weekend. I am having a pretty great weekend. Shortly hear I will be freezing some bean burritos I have made. The kids enjoyed the monkey bread for breakfast. I will share that recipe tomorrow.

My dad called shortly after I got home last night and wanted to let me know that after we left he had some severe stomach cramping and he would keep me updated. Well a little while later he called to tell me my mom was taking him to the hospital. He couldn’t really talk as you could tell he was in a lot of pain. My mom called last night and he has pancreitis. He will have to stay a few days. They have him on an IV to flush the infection out and get the swelling and inflammation to go down. Then they will go to fluids and then solids. I don’t know how long he will be in there.

I talked to him this morning and with him being on the morphine I don’t think he was feeling any pain as he was joking around. He sounded in good spirits though.

Thanks Thom! At least through all this he still has his sense of humor. I talked with him a little earlier today. I woke him up too. He is so bored and I sure he is getting hungry and all he can have is that IV fluid. I hope the infection passes soon.
