Paper Tissue Pumpkin Craft
Over the next couple days the kids and I will be working on Halloween Crafts. We started on but didn’t finish so the rest of my craft posts will come tomorrow.
Paper Tissue Pumpkin
Supplies:
- homemade modge podge
- paint brushes
- colored tissue ripped in pieces (any color you want)
- mini pumpkins
Directions:
If you don’t have modge podge you can make it homemade it is pretty simple. I used an old mayonnaise jar. I added 1/4 cup of elmers glue and 1/4 cup water. I put the lid on and shook it up till it was well shaken.
Tear the pieces you want to use for the tissue paper. My kids kind of shouted out colors and I tore the paper as we went.
Have the child hold the tissue on the pumpkin. Dip the paint brush into the homemade modge podge and then soak the tissue paper on the pumpkin. You want to get the whole thing wet so it will stick to the pumpkin.
Once you have your whole pumpkin covered set it aside to dry. The bottoms take the longest to dry. I am drying mine over night. Then put it out for decoration.
My daughter had a blast doing this. She took her time it was so cute. My son really liked it to but he did his faster then my daughter. LOL Yes that is a mini white pumpkin you see. My daughter had picked them out while we were at the apple orchard. I wish we had more just for the kids to have fun painting.
