Well this week we went to see the Neurologist for our 6 month check up. We have to go back in 6 months again. I am very disappointed that the blood work results were not available to me. I would have liked to know where Dakota’s levels were.

We didn’t see the neurologist we saw one of the nurse practitioners that I really am not crazy about. This is why I don’t like Children’s in Milwaukee because I find most of them rude. She saw how bad Dakota’s tick in his shoulders were and she said that she doesn’t want to make no changes because of two meds he is on. She told me to get him off them. I was really annoyed with this.

Back in summer we tried to take Dakota off the Dexadrine and Holy Wowser Batman that was a mistake. We talked about taking him off Seroquel but at the moment in time Dakota is stable on these meds. She says it’s the Seroquel. I snapped at her and said. NO it is the dexadrine. How do I know I saw with my own eyes that it really decreased. The increase in Trileptal could ALSO cause ticks but she didn’t want to admit that. Heaven forbid I know what I am talking about. LOL She suggested we up the clonodine or try another drug. Well I am going to talk to his psychiatrist on the 15th and see what he has to say.

Dakota is very annoyed with these ticks. She did also notice the tremors in his hands. We go back in 6 months to see the neurologist again.

She suggested we have a complete Neuro Psych Work Up. She said over time it will tell us his gains and losses. I think that is a great idea. However, I am really scared that he will find something else wrong when we do this. I am going to get it done. Waiting for paperwork to go to my family doctor so they can make the referral. I just really don’t want anything more to be wrong with him. We have been through a lot in Dakota’s 11 years.

We were working on a Wolf Lapbook before we left and we didn’t finish it yet. Lots of copy work in it. I have some craft ideas to share once we are done.

I am also trying to work on a Fall Preschool Unit as a freebie. I have been in Milwaukee since Monday so I am a little behind. I hope to try to have it out this weekend.
