Lessons With Max iPad Review

I am really excited to share Lessons With Max with all of you. I had the great honor of watching this app grow into one fantastic and fun  app geared towards toddlers and preschoolers.

Before I go into my review I would love for you to check out the video for yourself. You will get to see the app in action and well hear my voice on the app 🙂 .

My Thoughts:

Lessons With Max is a great app for toddlers and preschoolers that has 5 games in one app that will help strengthen early learning skills. You will see what I mean as we go through the app.

One of the things that I really liked is that to like the facebook page, to turn voice on and off, select the language of voice, customize your own voice is all hidden to the child. The parent just answers an addition question.

The first game is called Peekaboo. Max gives you a picture that he is thinking and your job is to find the object. If you let it sit long enough you will see a dot and finger giving you a hint. As Max thinks each object the word is said to the child what they are looking for as well as seeing as a visual picture. When the child finds all four objects they get a word of praise.

That is one thing special about this app to me is that there is praise during this app. I think children need praise when they do things right as well as a positive reinforcement for learning. You will find the praise through out the game.

Another thing is you will notice an i with a circle in the upper left corner your child can click on that to listen to the directions.

Colors and Numbers is the next game.  Your child will learn to count to 5 as well as match colors with this game. If you look at the picture above you will see a number on the wagon. Your child will add 5 green toys to the wagon as they are added they are counted.

Puzzles: This game is super simple it has about 5 pieces per puzzle. Your child puts the pieces back together again.

Memory – Your child will play a game of memory with 8 different pictures.

Match – In this game your child will have to pay attention to both shelves. Your child will put the toys back on the shelf just like the first box you see. Again you can see the dot and hand to help give you clues. It also has a dot on the toy itself to give that clue to what goes on the shelf. Both shelves will end up matching.

Another feature in this game is Game Mix. Each time they complete one game it moves to a different one. Your child will have a little variety with using the game mix.

I really like the bright bold colors of this app. Very easy to use and navigate through. No in app adds. No buttons for kids to like Facebook. The parent can like the Facebook page by unlocking the addition problem. My favorite part is the animation when the child does the right moves.

My daughter loves Max the cat. She loves each and every game. Her favorite I think is the Color and Numbers. It kept her attention and she had fun playing it as well.
