Just As I Thought

Well today went well. Once the adderall wore off he Dakota was HYPER. I didn’t give him ANY Seroquil this morning. I removed the morning dose. This morning when he took the Celexa I noticed he was calm. I noticed he was happy though. I would much rather deal with it this way then deal with the BAD behaviors that I have seen when on the Seroquil. I am sorry but still with this observation today I am really convinced that the meds have attributed to his behaviors. I don’t care what the EXPERTS say. I see it with my own eyes. Now don’t get me wrong the Celexa takes a few days to a couple weeks to work in the system. It will be interesting to see what happens next week at the appointment. Things are just what I thought they would be.

I always say that mommy knows best! You have to do what you think is best, not what the doctor’s think is best :)

Thanks Crystal. It’s just frustrating. They tell you one thing but yet you see other things. Sometimes I wonder if the Doctors even know if they really truly know the side effects or do they just like to blame behaviors. Thanks for stopping by.

I do believe it is all trial and error with meds. One thing is a doctor never likes to admit he/she is wrong. As far as meds the side effects are different in every one. If it works for you go for it.

You know what that is very true. I still am going to do some more research though on Celexa and Autism. I should also look up the Seroquil. My friend who is a RN said get him off that. She was really upset. So I know that med can’t be good.

Hope you can get the meds straight. My oldest son was on Ritalin and then we switched to Adderall. Thank you for visiting my blog, and your comment. Hope you will come back soon. Blessings,

It shall get straightened out with time. This doctor is really good. He has been working with kids for 23 years. I really had a good first impression of him. Although me I have to find something to disagree with. LOL

I didn’t like seroquil. Made my hair fall out and I gained 70 pounds. I’m on Celexa and Lamictal now. Good luck, I feel for ya.

I am glad to hear what others who are on or were on the med have to say. Dakota did gain weight too. Thanks Julie for stopping by.

Tetcha you are very right. That’s exactly what I did. Now all I deal with is hyper. But that’s ok as we see the doctor Tuesday. Thank you for adding my site to your Mommy Blogs. I added yours to my blog roll. :) Thanks for stopping by.
