H1N1 Vaccine Questioned – Autism
I came across an article titled Autism Activists Question H1N1 Vaccine. There are two ingredients in this vaccine that raise question: thimerosal and squalene. If you know anything about vaccines and autism then you know that thimerosal (known as mercury) is a big controversy right now. I can’t believe that they are even thinking about putting that in a vaccine. GRRR The Squalene is aluminum and our bodies already have it but if increased amounts they believe this could cause auto immune deficiencies. They are in a rush to develop this and have this ready for an outbreak. They are saying that it’s safe but if they can’t research it longer then 2 months how in the world are they going to know the long term effects.
Symptoms of H1N1 flu (swine flu), include cough and sore throat and possibly vomiting and diarrhea, fever and body aches. Mind you this is the same symptoms as the regular influenza.
I am sorry but I am not comfortable vaccinating my kids with the H1N1 vaccine. Every time we got the flu shots we ended up sick. I don’t care about the mumbo jumbo saying oh it don’t make you sick. I beg to differ! If I am not getting what they are putting in me I am getting something else. The point is WE all get sick really bad in this house. Dakota, Brad and I got the flu shot and we were all sick at the same time with fevers and everything else that goes with it. So we don’t get it anymore and we don’t’ get the flu. I am just not going to do it. I am not going to risk the long term effects from this vaccine being rushed out to the public.
I really suggest you read the article yourself as I have probably left things out that are important. This is just my opinion. I am not telling anyone else what to do. I am just letting you know the 2 ingredients that are in it. I refuse to vaccinate my kids with ANY thimerosal in it.
Heavy Metals are just that. They are Heavy Metals and they are NOT good!
You know what else gets me is the negative comments the person got on this article. It really saddens me that people are not educated. There were cases were people won against the pharmacuetical companies and have linked it to the vaccines. Then there are cases that did not win. So people need to get their facts straight before they start talking. I am sorry I don’t think they can understand our feelings on vaccinations and autism if they are not in our situtation. Coincidence?? I think not. In fact vaccines contain aborted fetal tissue. There is a company now studing the effect on if this alter genetics. So time will tell and the truth should come out. I am starting ot pay attention to what is in the ingredients now. Sorry I guess I am spouting off again. This really is a touchy subject with me and I get so very frustrated.

This is just beyond comprehension! We’ll take our chances with the flu over the vaccine. Sometimes the cure is much worse than the ailment and this is one of them. Thanks for the information

Your welcome Chris. It bothers me about the mercury in it. They say it’s going to be safe but really how do they know what the long term effects are going to be. They say having the vaccine is safer then not. They are predicting a break out of the H1N1 but will it happen is the question. I don’t know what to think anymore. I am not worried about the flu. I will worry when the time comes. Your welcome. I think it’s really important to start paying attention to what is in the vaccines then not knowing.
I found your blog via Country Mom.
We’ve always been very skeptable/undecided about vaccines. (our 4 kids ended up getting them) We never had luck with the flu shot either, so we stopped. It seems it comes down to, the lesser of the two evils.. the disease/sickness the vaccine is TRYING to prevent… or the side effects from the vaccine.
It’s too bad that people who share the ‘down’ side of vaccines get such a bad rap. People deserve to know the good AND bad side of a item.

You are very right there are two sides to the vaccines. The good and the bad. I am glad I am not the only one who didn’t have luck with the flu shots. I know others who haven’t either. I do know of people who didn’t get sick after they got the shot. You are right they are trying to prevent things from happening. Either way you look at it there is no win situation. Well if you think about what they vaccinate they also have meds to treat it. I still vaccinate as the damage is already done. We don’t get the MMR as Dakota had a rare reaction to it of a seizure. So the Doctor said no more. It didn’t further Dakota’s speech regression or change anything else. The only thing that changed was in the first year of life after starting the vaccinations. I just wish that people would take accountability for what had happened or at least tell the people the truth. You did bring up some really good points. I do give the companies credit as they did change the way of the vaccines. Although this Swine Flu vaccine I don’t trust with the mercury in it. I can’t believe the CDC is allowing it. I don’t see how they can say it’s safe with out long term research. That is what really makes me Leary. Part of me wonders if certain people are just sensitive to the vaccines. Kinda like allergic reactions but not really being allergic. If that makes sense. LOL Thanks for stopping by.
I keep hearing more and more bad things about the vaccine and it seems the chance of harm for this particular vaccine isn’t worth it. Not for the currently mild symptoms that swine flu gives.
If you had some pre-existing condition that would make you susceptible to secondary infections then it may be more pertinent.
We won’t be getting the vaccine in our house.

I agree with you Annette. That exactly how it is with the Flu Vaccine. Older people, people who are asthmatic and I don’t remember who else but those are the people I would be thinking they would say to get the vaccine. I would feel safer it the vaccine wasn’t rushed. But with my luck we would get sick.
Thank you very much for posting this I had heard that the H1N1 shot was not all that good for you but I didnt know why. Now I know why and my son WILL NOT be getting the shot this year. Im with you on the flu shot. Last year was the first time my son got a flu shot and we never went back for the booster cause he got so sick from the first one that I didnt want to risk it by getting the booster. thank you for doing the leg work for us it puts my mined at rest now to know.

Your welcome Jodi! I had just stumbled across that article. I was glad I did. Considering I am now starting to actually pay attention to what is in these vaccinations. Mercury being one of them I am dead against it. I just dread to hear what this vaccine will cause seeing as they are rushing to get it out and won’t have all the correct facts until the damage is done and it’s too late.
Mercury has been in other vaccines for years. I can’t believe they are still putting it in yet even more vacs. two out three of my girls suffered from Mercury poisoning from vacs. I understand some don’t, but mine did. Thank you for the article.

You are welcome. I just like to share the information. That I come across. It’s nice to hear what others have to say when it relates to autism or the side effects that someone may have had to the vaccines. Thanks for stopping by.
the H1N1 or Swine Flu Virus is very scary at first but now it is well controlled by vaccines and prevention by avoiding going into places with incidence of swine flu.
H1N1 or Swine Flu is a bit scary but it a good thing to note that this virus is not that very deadly. .

Exactly! Nobody wants to be sick. If you think about it a lot of this is just common sense. If your sick longer then three days go to the doctor. I know the influenza shut down a school in Green Bay. Influenza is flying around here like crazy.
My son has mild autism. PDD-NOS borderline Asbergers to be exact. His school and local health dept. are giving the H1N1 vaccine next week. I am very worried about letting him take it. He has hydrocephlus as well. He has seizures and a few other health issues. Should I be concerned about this vaccine? He just had the regular flu vaccine yesterday and is running a fever today. Any one have any suggestions? Thanks

I honestly can’t tell you which way to decide you have to go with your gut feeling. I am not getting the H1N1 vaccine nor are my kids. I don’t believe this vaccine is as safe as they say it. I feel it was rushed out way to fast. I have seen bad things on it as well. However I am not against vaccines. Just not crazy about this one. I have known a few people who were confirmed with the H1N1 virus and they have said it was no worse then influenza. If you think about how many people die each year from influenza and how many are hospitalized. You don’t hear that on news right now do you? Those are just my feelings you have to do what you think is right for your son. Check out the ingredient and in the vaccine, do a little research and you will find your answer.
I agree with not getting the H1N1. I was sent an email about a month ago containing a Canadian health offical speaking about the H1N1 and she said there’s no such virus. The H1N1 shot was a government idea to get rid of a third of the worlds population. The reason they give the shit to women and children first is because they are the ones who reproduce. So it’s very scary and I believe this lady. Our world is soo over populated how else are we going to fix the problem?? Do not get this shot! It’s true.. It hasn’t been out long enough to see the side effects. Unfortunetly, when you take your kids to get their shots their doctors tell you how important it is and if you decline shots they make you feel like a bad parent. How do you refuse shots but still send your child to school? I don’t agree with some shots but in order for my kids to go to school they need to be “updated” on all their shots.. Soo fustrating!

I understand how frustrating it is. Here we have the option to decline them. My kids have all their shots. However my youngest son can not have the MMR shot anymore because he had a reaction to it. I am against the H1N1. It wasn’t out long nor do I feel they did enough research on it. Now you hardly hear anything about the H1N1 virus anymore on the news. At least I don’t. Maybe because I don’t watch the news as much anymore.
Sorry for my typo up above I meant to write shot not what I had originally typed. SORRY!!

My brother got infected with H1N1 or Swine Flu in Mexico. He got a mild fever and luckily he did not die.

Thank goodness. I am glad he is better.
during the height of the H1N1 or Swine Flu epidemic, i was very afraid to get infected with this disease and i wore face mask whenever i got into heavily populated areas.

You sure don’t hear much about it now that is for sure.
i remember being scared of getting infected by H1N1 during the height of the pandemic. at least two of my classmates got infected by H1N1.
Hi I heard now that they are stuffing regular flu shots with the h1n1 shot. Now no one in my house gets any flu shots. A woman I work with currently her husband just got the regular flu shot laced with the h1n1. and for two weeks has had allergic reactions and irregular heartbeats. he is a 4o year old healthy and active male.

My neighbor got the flu and with a week or two had really bad seizures. Her daughter in law got the flu shot and got really sick after it. That’s scary if they are lacing it with h1n1. I haven’t read about the flu shots this year yet.
