Give Me Five Monday

Give Me Five of your favorite ways to be crafty or creative.
1. Scrapbooking – I love to scrapbook my pictures by hand. I love to make different paper piecings for the pages.
2. Photography – I love taking pictures. Someday I would like to learn how to do different photo editing.
3.Ceramic – I love painting ceramics. I haven’t done this in a long time but I plan on visiting our local ceramic store on of these days.
4. Christmas Ornaments – Last year I started making homemade ornaments out of salt dough with my youngest son. He got to paint them. Last year he painted about 10 of them and gave them to the police department. Or maybe that was the year before last.
5. Christmas Cookies – I love baking different types of christmas cookies and candy. I haven’t really perfected the candy like my mom used too. I won’t give up. I love trying new recipes for Christmas Cookies.

Wow! You are so creative and shall i say hyperactive? Super mommy indeed. =) And I like the fact that your youngest son works with you as well. That’s a very good influence of you. I wanna try scrapbooking but I always put it off.sigh.I also like photography but I’m so poor with it despite my many serious attempts. Let me just borrow your own words – I won’t give up. LOL I don’t know about hyperactive… not lately. I feel like I can’t get anything done. I do really want to learn photo editing. I see all these wonderful photos and I want to try that. Wonder how it would look in my scrapbook. I love it when Dakota sits and pretends he is scrapbooking. He can be so darn creative.
I took a ceramics class in a summer school one time. We put clay through an extruder and used the tubes to create mugs and a trash can. That same summer I also took a Black and White photography class that really influenced me forever. Love them both!! I have made Christmas ornaments before but not that kind. I should look into that again LOL Great list!

Thanks Becca. My oldest son has done some ceramics in school. I have a few different things he has made. I absolutely love them. See I am not crazy about black and white pictures. Sometimes I like them but I guess it depends on the focus of the picture too. At least for me.
I was going to do salt dough ornaments this week! And I have my Christmas baking underway!

Crafty had never been a word to describe me. I really do very little in the creative arena aside from making up songs to torment my family.

I am not sure I like it. Seems to plain.
that is an awesome idea to do with the Christmas ornaments. I bet it would be fun to give them away at a Children’s hospital, too. Hmmm, we have visited ours a lot, maybe we will have to do that this year, something to spice up their rooms!

I bet the kids at the Children’s Hospital would love them. Especially those that are there long term. I know when my son was in there for a couple days for seizure monitoring he got a kick out of the people who would come in the long term unit. I think it’s really neat when people do that.
I haven’t done ceramics in years! I loved doing it, but had to give it up when it got a little too pricey.

I can understand that. When you have to have them fired it can get expensive.

Everytime I drag all my stuff out, Gannon decides it the best time to love on me….haha…such a sweet lil fella. But I do LOVE to photograph! I take pics of stuff daily….I might need to seek AA haha:)
