Frito Chili and Cheese Casserole Recipe – Chili with a twist
Tonight I wanted to make something different. I was in the moved for Chili and have had a Frito Pie before which is the basically the same as a walking taco only different seasonings. I thought it was really good. My oldest son said it was OK. LOL

Corn Chip Chili and Cheese Casserole
Ingredients:
- 2 tb Margarine
- 1 lb Ground beef
- 1 pk Chili seasoning mix (up to 1-1/4)
- 1 c Shredded cheese
- 2 c Coarsely crumbled corn chips
- 1 md Onion
- 2 cn (8oz) tomato sauce
Directions: Melt margarine in skillet and brown beef and onion. Stir in Chili seasoning mix, tomato sauce and 1 cup water. Simmer 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Lightly grease 1 1/2 – 2 quart casserole. Layer 1/2 chili mixture, corn chips and cheese. Repeat layers. Bake 20 minutes in a 350 oven.

I’ve seen at football games where they scoop chili right into a small bag of fritos. It’s kind of the same thing. My son loves that! Thanks for the recipe!

I think Fritos taste the best in Chili! In fact, I’ve got chili in the crock pot today, maybe I’ll go get a bag of Fritos to add in at the end!
