I have to say I am loving this weekly Blog Hop for Friday Follow. I have meet some great bloggers. I am a little behind reading this week but I will catch up by the time the weekend is over.

I am slowly working on the potting training with my little almost terrible two. Out of Five days she has at least pee’d in her little potty once. So that’s progress right. Although I am tired of her taking her diaper off every single time she pee’s in it. This morning she took it off and little rabbit sized poop pellets went flying on my hall way floor. Nice!!

Dakota has not been feeling well the last couple days. I think he has a cold of some sorts. This morning he was crying his ear hurt and the right ear does look a bit red so we are heading to the Doctors office. I am going to ask to see if the EKG results came back yet as I haven’t heard anything about it. So no news must be good news.

I did write the special ed teacher to let her know my feelings on there half day and adding hours every week to take Dakota back to a full day. I said it’s going to put him right back where he was before with all the stress. She said she had some reservations about it too but didn’t go into detail. I was given the work for the morning next week to work on with Dakota so maybe Dakota will start it today if he indeed does have an ear infection. That way we have a head start on it. I am curious to see how half a day will do him versus a full day. Maybe it is the answer maybe it’s not.

Yesterday morning was horrible. He ended getting carried into school. He shut down in the morning and he also shut down again after school. I almost feel sorry for him. He said to me yesterday that the other kids don’t talk to him anymore. He also said he didn’t like his Music teacher. Most kids at the school don’t like her. You think that would tell the school something huh… Clueless.

My husband mentioned something to the teacher and asked how many teachers does Dakota actually have. Her response 6. My husband then said don’t you think that is part of the problem as he is always getting pulled out of class. Which that is something I don’t think any of us thought of. I don’t think she responded much to his answer. My response to the whole thing was it went in one ear and out the other.

Nothing really exciting planned for the weekend. I do want to work on some St Patrick’s Day crafts with Dakota if he will let me. I know he loves to do crafts but he has to be in the mood for.

Hope you all have a great Friday.

I hope you and Dakota get to do some crafts this weekend. I would think that having six different teachers would def have a an effect on him, IMO. Keep on keepin’ on!

Well today we didn’t get to the crafts. Since they lowered the meds he can’t really sit still. He also isn’t aware of his surroundings. He was jumping on things and off them and just wound up. I don’t like this decrease in meds so they are getting a phone call on Monday. He should have just left them alone. But it might be the cause to the funky EKG.

Have you seen the new show Parenthood? I’ve only caught it once but it has moved Autism/Aspergers to the forefront. I’m wondering what you thought of the shows characterization of a child with Aspergers.

It sounds like you guys will be having a fun weekend making crafts, unless the ear infection becomes a problem. Have a great weekend.

I haven’t seen it yet. It’s on my DVR and I will make it a priority now to watch it since you mentioned that. Maybe you just gave me an idea for a topic. LOL Thanks JEn! The only problem we are having htis weekend so far is the decrease in meds.

Oh boy Lily. I hated when Dakota was regressing! That was the worst for me. Now the even worse part is the stress he has to deal with. I swear it must be the weather because I see different attitudes and stuff. Crazy kid tried to go outside today. I said nope not with your ears that bad.

Good Luck with your potty training. My daughter has been driving me bonkers when it comes down to the potty. She gets so excited though it’s so cute.
