Finger Paint Fun
Today I made home made finger paint. It’s not like your smooth finger paint you can by in the store but it does the job. My daughter had lots and lots of fun. I think she made about 8 pictures. With her it’s a real mess but she sure had a blast messing around.
Let me first share the recipe then share the fun she had.
Easy Homemade Finger Paint
Ingredients:
- 2 cups Flour
- 2 cups Cold Water
- Food coloring
Directions:
Mix the flour and water in a bowl until mixed completely. What I did was break the mixture into 4 containers. Then I added food coloring to each bowl. That simple. Each bowl has a cover to keep it until the next use.
Ok now back to Brittany. She had so much fun dipping her fingers into the paint. She would say painting. Try to say the colors. Each time she dipped her precious little finger into the bowl I would tell her the color and she would repeat it. At times she would dip her whole hand into the paint and we would have to stop and wash them and start all over again on another paper. LOL
Now onto one of the finished products of her beautiful finger painting
I ran out of counter space to put her wet pictures until they dry.

One of the joys of having kids around.

Amy it’s so easy to make. Not sure how well it keeps as this is our first time making it. But I hope it keeps for a while as my daughter loved it.
My wife makes it all the time. Kids really love it. I join in with Maya. I am a pretty good finger painter.

It is so much cheaper then buying it. I didn’t think it would be that easy. LOL I was finger painting with her too. It was fun.
I LOVE this idea! It seems so completely kid-friendly. We will be doing it tomorrow for our school time craft! Thanks for posting.

it doesn’t store very well. If you need smaller amounts just cut the recipe in half.
