Fall Nature Walk and Fun Nature Crafts

The weather was beautiful this morning. It was a little chilly out but now windy. So the kids wanted to go out and look at the fall colors. I didn’t capture the fall colors on camera like I wanted to, as I had to pay attention to where my daughter was, as there is no side walks on some parts of our walk.

During the walk, the kids were to collect different items. Things they collected was tree bark, leaves, pine cone needles, crab apple, twigs, stones, and what ever else they saw that intrigued them.

When we got home the first thing we did was get out the paint. I had poured paint onto a tray for my daughter. My daughter took different objects from her bag and painted the paper with the objects she found.

My daughter had collected so many different leaves on our walk. I grabbed the glue and paper and we made a leaf collage.

What kid doesn’t like to make leaf rubbings. My daughter had so much fun with this. She would get excited when she made the leaf print.

Hope you enjoyed our nature crafts!

What things have you made from nature?

We sure did 🙂 I think my daughter liked it the most as she filled up her bag with a TON of leaves. LOL I think my daughters favorite was the leaf rubbings.
