Dakota Update – Influenza, Oh Joy!

Author: Well I to Mr Dakota to the doctor today. It was so hard to keep a mask on him. I hated wearing one myself. Those things are way to warm and sticky. BLECK!!
He was running a temp of 100.something. The doctor thinks he has influenza. I am to watch him over the weekend. If he still has a fever on Monday to bring him back. If he gets any worse with coughing then to bring him back for that.
Oh Joy! Time to Lysol the whole house.
On a good note I told him about the nurse practitioner and what happened with Brittany. He was glad and he also brought in the office manager for me to talk to. They all know me there and I really like going there. So I didn’t feel so bad telling after all. LOL
I am a little bummed though as Dakota and Brad were going to my parents tomorrow. I can’t send Dakota over there with influenza. So he gets to stay home with. Sigh… was looking forward to the break. Would have been nice if it was just little “pigtails” and I here.

You can’t keep the kid down with a fever. He is on the go go go! Till he gets tired and burns out.
dont you hate when they get sick. The poor kid. Plus, dont you hate when you see a break coming in the near future, then bam..something happens. I hate when that happens. Hang in their, he will be up and running in no time..(i’m afraid)

It’s terrible when they get sick. Even worse when your sick on top of it. My dad said that’s ok there will be other times. Sigh… but I was finally looking forward to the much needed break! Your right he will be back and running again in no time. Thankfully he has no fever as of right now. Thanks for stopping by John!

Exactly! More so it’s because people send their kids to school sick! Sigh… It sucks because with stress at school for Dakota and autism he can get sick a lot more frequently.
I am sorry about Dakota and the Flu. It is hard to watch our little one’s when they are sick. You feel so helpless.Hope it doesn’t spread through all of you.
Take good care of Dakota, but don’t forget yourself.

LOL to late it’s spreading through the house. But that is ok. It will pass and we shall feel better soon!
That’s really hard to have a sick child, very draining. I hope Dakota gets better very fast and you don’t have to return to the Doctor. Take care of yourself too and the sleepover doesn’t have to be cancelled, just postponed.

Well I don’t know if it will be next weekend. I am sure it will be another weekend. I can tell you I am tired of being sick already.
