Norman Rockwell Presents Coming Home for Christmas. This is a perfect movie for the whole family. It shows you families aren’t perfect but with a little work they can turn out to be perfect.
The two sisters got into a fight and haven’t spoken for years. The parents felt the pain of the girls not talking, which drove a wedge between them. The parents lost their house and ended up separating. One of the girls is determined to bring the whole family together at Christmas, and in the process finds love. The only problem is that the house they grew up in was sold. I can’t give you to much information as it will ruin the movie.
What I can tell you is that this movie is a must see movie. I laughed and I cried. The sisters were close growing up until one of them was getting married. She lived a rich life. The other sister was a writer at a publishing company. The current book she was editing was about families. At this point she was very critical. As she was planning Home for the Holidays I think she started easing up some. She met a wonderful guy who had a big heart. I don’t think she ever expected to be with anyone as she felt like the ugly duckling of the family.
Another thing I forgot to mention is this movie is about forgiving and moving on. The girls forgave each other and worked together to reunit their family. The movie of course wouldn’t be complete with out a happy ending of course.
Will they be able to use their old house? Will they find a new house to start memories? Does the family get reunited? It’s something I can’t tell you. You have to watch it for yourself.
You can purchase this DVD at Walmart for $9.96….it’s on sale at the moment.
