Chicken and Ham Casserole

I sat here this morning. Trying to figure out what I could make for dinner. Well I came across this recipe and I have everything on hand. I have never made this before nor have I ever tasted it. Tonight we before the first.

Chicken and Ham Casserole

1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons butter

1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons flour

3 cups milk

1 1/2 cups cooked chicken breasts, cubed

1 1/2 cups ham, cubed

1 1/2 cups wide cooked egg noodles

3/4 cup celery (I am leaving this out as I have picky kids)

3/4 teaspoon salt

3/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

9 ounches of shredded cheese

1 tablespoon paprika

Directions:

Preheat oven to 400 degrees

Melt butter in large saucepan over low heat. Stir in the flour and heat until bubbly. Slowly add the milk, stiring constantly, until mixture is thickened and smooth.

Remove from heat and mix everything into a 1 1/2 quart casserole dish.

Bake at 400 for 30 minutes.

I am curious how everyone reacted to the casserole? I have very picky kids so am always looking for new things they will eat.

I will let you know tonight after I make it. I am not sure they are going to like it or not. I know my husband and my nephew will as they eat anything I make. The boys are iffy. Brittany well she is a really good eater so I am sure she will eat it.
