We missed National Ice Cream Day as we spent the day out by the inlaws and got back a late. So we did ours another day that we had time. We picked a warm and humid day to make it. Oh how I love having my kitchen aid and the ice cream maker attachment. This is only our second time making ice cream. This recipe is for a kitchen aid ice cream maker. You could make it in a regular ice cream maker you would have to add more milk to fill it.

Cherry Country Muffins Recipe

This is getting to be my favorite time of year. Well one of them anyway. In another couple weeks it will be cherry picking time! I love making cherry pie filling, and whatever other recipe I can find for cherries. It’s actually strawberry picking time. It’s been raining so much here that we haven’t been able to go. Hoping to go on Tuesday.

Cheese Burger Soup Recipe

My favorite comfort food in winter is homemade soup. The weather has been dreary lately and I have been in the mood to try different soups. I love making fresh homemade rolls with it too. Although with my teenage son those don’t last 24 hours in this house. Last weekend my daughter, my friend and I made Cheeseburger soup together. My daughter really got into helping by peeling the potatoes for this. It was fun to have her help us. This soup turned out really amazing. The only thing was that I expected it to be a little thicker then what it was. Let me tell you it tastes even better the next day!!

Our new favorite quick and easy dinners are sliders. I never knew how easy they were to make and just how yummy they tasted! Now I have to experiment and come up with some new ideas for sliders as these were such a hit!

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays. It’s a time to really reflect on all the blessings and being Thankful. Although we should be thankful throughout the year. I have so many things to be thankful for this year. Next year will be an even bigger year to be thankful. Can’t go into details right now but when the time is right I will share the news.
