Easy Peasy Cursive Review

One of the things I have been working on with my daughter is cursive. She has started up with wanting to try to learn it again. This time around she is not so frustrated. We have been enjoying using Easy Peasy Cursive by Channie’s Visual Handwriting & Math Workbooks.

I used Easy Peasy Cursive with my daughter who is in 4th Grade. This is geared towards kids in grades 1 – 3. This workbook is 40 sheets with 80 pages. It is a very visual style of learning cursive. There are 2 pages worth of tracing and one page to write on your own. What makes it visual is the lines, as the lines are angled for proper slanting and consistent letter type. There is a green shade that is used to assist as a visual for lower case positioning.

The Secret of the Hidden Scrolls Book Review

My daughter and I enjoy reading. There are times that we read a book together. We spend time taking turns reading each chapter. We recently had the chance to read the first two books in The Secret of the Hidden Scrolls series published by WorthyKids/Ideals. These books are perfect for kids ages 6 – 9.

Captain Bayley’s Heir – Audio Drama Review

One of the things I absolutely love to do for history is listen to the audio drams from Heirloom Audio Productions. They keep you wanting to know what is going to happen next and at the edge of your seat. They are a nice break for us from our history books. We also listen to them over and over in the car riding to Green Bay. We had the honor to review Captain Bayley’s Heir. If your wondering the age group for this…this is perfect for the whole family!

Let’s Go Geography Review – Hands on Geography!!

One of my favorite subject to teach is geography. I absolutely love teaching my children about other cultures, and being able to see other places, even if it is from pictures! I was so excited with I learned that there was a hands on geography curriculum for kids. My daughter and I have really been enjoying Let’s Go Geography. Let’s Go Geography is a three year curriculum to teach the world. This curriculum can be used with grades K – 4.
