Since we are in winter and we are getting ready to work on a winter/snow theme, I thought I would create some creative writing printables to go along with our theme. As of right now we do not have any snow. In fact this year we are having above normal temperatures and we have had a lot of rain. Sadly we will have a brown Christmas. I am hoping that at some point it will snow and we can have our snow day fun!
The Arizona State WebQuest is a free printable available to you, to teach your child about the state of Arizona. If your not familiar with a web quest it is basically an inquiry-orientated lessons that uses the web to find the information.
In this printable I have listed the specific website or websites the child will use to search in order to find the answer to the questions. I also included a couple of drawing activities as well as videos, recipes and a craft idea to use with your study of Arizona.
Students LOVE to learn about King Tut and Ancient Egypt! Download a FREE lesson for kids about Ancient Egypt and jump into King Tut’s history! The freebie has several activities included in this pack, including reading comprehension, math review, map skills, and timeline practice, so there are a multiple ways to use them.
Use these fun pages to practice place value and/or addition and subtraction skills! Page 12 of the King Tut Mini-Unit Freebie asks students use the symbols to determine the number. The following page goes a step further and asks students add or subtract numbers.
Hot off the press: Telling Time By The Hour Using QR Codes. If your not familiar with QR Codes they can be really awesome and give a child a sense of indolence when learning or reviewing materials. In this freebie you will only find by the hour time. There is no AM or PM in this printable.
If your not familiar with QR Codes I created a video to show you what they are and how to use them. You will need a smartphone or tablet. You will also need an app that is called a QR Code Reader. You can find free apps in both iTunes and Google Play. I am not sure about Kindle. I am sure they do exist there as well.
Valentine’s is one of my favorite holidays.I love seeing all the heart clip art and the mushy cards out there. It is also my anniversary. So it’s another reason I love it so much.
We are still working on addition in math. So I thought since I found this cute clip art dice that I would make some simple addition worksheets of adding 1 – 6.
