Been Awhile

Author: I really apologize that it has been awhile since I last wrote. I needed a break from blogging. I actually needed a break from a lot of things as I have been so overwhelmed with things for a while now. I do have a contest to draw a winner and I have new reviews and contests to go up over the next couple days. I apologize for my lack of posts.
Three out of the five of us are sick with some type of cold. So not fun being sick. Dakota is doing well with just going to gym. I don’t get the battles that I got so that is a positive. However though last week we got there early and I shoved him in the class which caused him to shut down. He has melted down a lot last week with the amount of work given to do at home. He is still a little nervous but I think with a little more time it will pass.
I won’t tell you that I got upset with the Special Ed teacher! She sent me a email trying to put back one hour and 5 minutes time into his day and putting him in a classroom. I really don’t think she understands that Dakota CANNOT handle a classroom. I will be glad when the school year is over and we can recharge and start fresh. I talked with the principal and we are going on Dakota’s terms. If that means he is in gym the rest of the year that’s fine. We will start off where we left off. I am happy with that.
I still have a few mixed feelings but as I see more positive I really start to become more and more hopeful.
Tomorrow I have a really funny video to share of my daughter. I won’t tell you about it as I don’t want to spoil it.
I am going to delete what’s in my google reader and start fresh as of today. I also will start going through email as of tomorrow.

Aloha stranger. You know sometimes we all need to recharge. I sorta thought that is what was up. I so agree with you on Dakota. Just get through this year and start fresh next year. I think a lot of the problem here is the school. They just don’t get things a lot of times. I’m sorry that some of you are sick. Get better soon. I look forward to the video of Brittany.

yeah I just needed to recharge I bit. I am hoping to get back into the swing of things here soon again. A big problem is the school well the Special Ed teacher and his teacher. The Principal though is on the same page so I am really happy about that. He reassured me it was a gradual process. So I am happy with that. I know I was really just dead set against him in school but I am glad that he is going even if it is just gym right now. although he still doesn’t interact all that well even in gym. One thing I am really happy about is there is no battles. That’s a big relief. I can’t wait to share the video she is so stinking funny in that video. Leave it to my daughter. LOL
I understand how life can get in the way of blogging for sure! Good to see you back a little bit.

I am so glad to be back. I have really missed blogging. I am a little disappointed as I really wanted to post a lot more about Autism this month but that’s ok I can save it for later. I have missed reading other blogs too

Nice to have you back. We all missed you. Good to hear that Dakota is holding his own. We all have to stop sometimes and just recharge. Come back slow so as not to get too busy.

Hope everyone is feeling better now! Whenever you get an email from school wanting to change something, just reply back with a polite note that you would be happy to attend an IEP meeting to discuss it. That should stop the constant badgering!!
