Autism Mom Thursday

autisticmom

Well it’s time for Tammy’s meme Autism Mom Thursday. And wow did she pick a hard one this week. It’s very difficult as  I could list many things about my son that are my favorite things. We are to name one thing  that our child does that makes us feel amazed and happy.

I guess my one favorite thing would be when I actually see him interacting with other kids. He doesn’t do that often any more. I love seeing him have fun with others. He use to have one friend that he would interact with. They had an amazing bond. They were inseperable. Then we moved and they don’t see each other a lot anymore.

Playdates can be so fun. When I get a chance I try to go to moms club as Brittany loves to follow the other kids around.

I hope that you can find another friend like that for Dakota. I read the most heartwarming article in parenting about how an autistic child was put into an integrated preschool, and made best friends with another student that was not autistic, and they were just inseperable and learned so much from one another. Friends are priceless!

I haven’t opened my parenting magazine lately. I will have to check it out. I sure hope Dakota makes that bond soon!

School is going ok for Dakota. They bugged me again for a Doctors excuse so I got a hard copy this time and hand delivered it. I also got my letter in the mail from the Doctor that states his medical problems and why he could be absent and they are to excuse it. That was just to sum it up. It will go in his file so they can’t complain he missing so much school. Which he has been pretty healthy lately. I am starting to seem him get on yellow now at school. Which means he did something wrong. He said yesterday he was interrupted. But I don’t think that was the case. I should find out today what happened.
