Autism Mom Thursday

Tammy over at Autism Learn Felt has a wonderful meme called Autism Mom Thursday! If you would like to join us. Click the button above.

This week is Things I Thought Would Never Happen

1. I never thought my son would want to socialize with kids. He now wants to try to have friendships.

2. I never thought my son would learn to talk when he was younger. He sure does talk up a storm now. His speech needs to get better with articulation but he is coming along.

3. I never thought he would try to organize things. Well he does. Anything and everything but his own room. Drives me nuts sometimes as I can’t find things and I like things to be a certain way.

4. I never thought he would take in interest in anything. He has a huge interest in bugs and animals.

I’m with you on one and two. My son loves bugs and animals. He likes to be around other kids, but doesn’t know how to interact yet. It would be so great if my son would start to talk, but I don’t think it will happen. At least he has a way to communiate with us.

Dakota doesn’t really know how to interact properly. He doesn’t know how to communicate his feelings. That’s something we go to work on.

Hey Stacie. Trish from Sweet ‘n’ Sassy Girls did up a button for Autism Mom Thursday that is so cute. I changed it on my site and will be using it instead of the flower. It’s so cute.

These are all really wonderful and what a wonderful project Tammy has started. I must say it has been way too long since I visited Tammy.

We use to visit each other all the time and then sort of drifted. But, this is wonderful and I so glad to hear this wonderful news about your son.

I hope you have a super afternoon!!

I really really don’t know much about autism, but I really do think you are super mommy. I think you helped your baby every step of the way, and I think your encouragement and support and strength were a vital piece of getting those “never thoughts” into reality.
